das Edelweiss in Munich

We have enjoyed going to Edelweiss for many years! Our absolute favorite restaurant. You feel good as soon as you come in. The food is a stunner. Lovingly arranged, good portion sizes, creative dishes. We have nothing to complain about. Except that at the moment we can unfortunately only eat "to go" with Nadia and her team. Still tastes like always 😊

The Edelweiß is like a second living room, the boss Nadja the best host you can imagine, and the food is always delicious. Whether in the bar, outside in front of the bar or to go - we always like to come back.

Megaaa delicious, very friendly and accommodating

I'm always surprised how good the food tastes here. In addition, the prices are cheap and the service is friendly and well-tipped.

No longer an insider tip, "Das Edelweiß" is a bit hidden on the Alpenplatz in Giesing. The landlady works here with a lot of passion and creativity and has managed to build a loyal group of guests over the years. I especially want to mention the excellent breakfast on weekends / holidays, the quality and price-performance ratio are definitely right! Recently, lunch is also served on Fridays from 11.30 a.m. to 2.00 p.m., there are new, summery dishes every week, e.g. Quiche with zucchini and goat cheese etc. All dishes can of course also be taken to the office or to the Isar :)

Have stayed here many times, the food is always excellent and the waitresses are nice too. Looking forward to next time 😋

Personable, down-to-earth, tasty and simply a wonderful oasis in Munich. Dishes and baked goods are always freshly prepared and so far everything tasted great!

The Café Edelweiß is a little off the main street and therefore nice and quiet :) You can sit outside and have space. The service was friendly and even if there is no huge selection: what is offered is very tasty!

Nice little shop - a little shabby chic. You can have a good time there, not too loud. Wine and food were good. The dessert in particular was delicious. Small potential for improvement: The Munich schnitzel could use a little more horseradish. Waiting time was relatively long but not bad. You just shouldn't be in a hurry. Service was friendly. 5 stars in total :)

Very nice shop, wish it was my living room :) the food was very good and the service was super friendly and courteous .. really recommendable!

Delicious food. Relaxed atmosphere. And finally, friendly hosts. Unfortunately that is not self-evident in Munich. So everything was done right, dear edelweiss.

Not friendly for tourists. We were told they were full however there were many seats available inside and outside and numerous people arriving after us that got tables. Not a nice way to end our German holiday.

Quiet place with a good menu, international and local dishes, and a good selection of German beers. Recommended.

The staff was outstanding!! I had an Edelweiss Mule and it was so delicious! Definitely would go back for more drinks.

Nice and cosy

In the Cafe Edelweiss we have wonderfully brunched the food and drinks were very delicious, beautifully arranged and creatively put together. There are a relatively large selection of different types of breakfasts, lunches etc. Luckily many vegetarian options. The cafe has a special charm & decorating style. Especially the flowers, table decoration, the piano & service I liked. The waiters were very attentive, nice & accommodating.

This place has one of the best cheeseburgers I've had in either Getmany or the US. I got the classic burger with cheddar. And the fries were really good too. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. They didn't have Coke, but we were able to try some local Fritz-cola.

Great small restaurant to grab some of Munich's local specialty Weißwurst. Very good pricing for the quality of the food and service, both outdoor and indoor seating available.

Super cosy place. Had Bavarian breakfast here. The rest of the menu looked nice. Lively atmosphere, full of light!

I've been there a lot of times and one thing doesn't change. The love for detail and the variety of food. There are some regular meals but you can always find some new and exiting meals from all over the world. Nice and cozy ambiente!

Excellent burgers, very nice service, comfortable environment. Cool location too with a good summer patio.

Really good breakfasts at a reasonable price. The service is very friendly but often a bit slow for my tastes!
